Lud In The Mist certainly looks... interesting? Dunno if it's my thing or not but maybe I'll try it one day. I'm not reading fantasy right now, but I'm about halfway into Girl, Woman, Other by Bernardine Evaristo and really liking it.
That was a Booker prize winner a couple years back, wasn't it? I still read lit and upmarket fiction, but I don't think I've read any of the major prize books in a few years now. I should probably take a look to see if anything jumps out at me.

Nice pick Mark. Very much to my taste. I'm not in the crowd that thinks the aurhor should be invisible in a story. The most enjoyable stories to me have always had a strong authors presence. I like to read prose that is laden with style.

Wish I could get my parents to write off my drinking. I started the Tawny Man trilogy last week so I'll probably be busy this for the next while.
I haven't read beyond Farseer yet, but I'm hoping to make time for more Hobb this year. Might be something to settle in with this fall.
